Its summer Its hot ...does your skin and hair feel dehydrated? Dull, lifeless, damaged, disagreeable hair.
No fear the Hairtamer is here.
I want to share a few mask and how they can help you bring that hair back to life.
Rules to Mask:
This Verb mask $14 is what I call ..Bueno , Bonito, y Barato!!! Not only does it work great but it has ingredients like Babassu Oil which nourish and Hydrate your hair. Use if your hair is Fine / Med and any texture . I use it on my hair.
Briogeo Mask $26 is an amazing due to its moisture and reconstructive properties. Basically you have curly hair or you bleach or dye your hair a lot or go to the beach or pool often. Its also reasonably priced and has ingredients like avocado, argan oil, almond oil, keratin protein, rose hip oil, and a bunch of vitamins — B5, D, A, and E, if you're wondering. This is ideal for Med/ Course hair. I also use this mask and its amazing!!!
Salerm Wheat Germ Mask $24 is ideal for anyone who has Really really damaged hair or does chemical straighteners. This is ideal for all my Latinas and especially those with coarse hair. This is my go to old school reliable mask that my mom sells at her shop since I could remember. Its also Bueno, Bonito, Y Barato and you can only find it in a Hispanic Beauty Supply or at a Hispanic Salon.
Please read the rules as no product will create a miracle unless it cost a lot more money or done at a salon by a Stylist. But if you maintain your hair with a mask at least once a week you will have no problems with dry brittle hair. As always if you have questions message me I'm always happy to help.
So you want to be Rubia?
Like really really Blonde?

So you woke up and you want a change. Or better yet you went through a life changing experience and are ready to make some changes. Maybe you are just impulsive and enjoy changing it up…whatever the case have no fear the Hairtamer is here!!! Often times I blog about what to do after a color service so I wanted to take the time and blog about what to do before one.
1. Clarifying Shampoo will strip your hair of any color or product you might have. If you plan on going lighter this is a great tool to use to help remove product and build up from the hair. I advise using this in conjunction of a mask or deep condition treatment.
2. Deep Condition. No matter what type of hair you have deep conditioning leading to your color service will help your hair not only with the actual color service but it will also hold color a lot better.
3. Please don’t wash your hair on the day of service. Depending on the color service the color will have contact with your skin so having that extra buildup will help you during the service
4. Be upfront. Your hair history is very important so please share all your hair details during the consultation. That box you used 3 years ago, yes it still there.
5. Research. Look at photos of what you would like your hair to look like. Oftentimes I tell my clients to find a muse. A celebrity or public figure whose hair they admire. The more photos the better understanding our stylist will have of what you expect.
6. What if I hate it? If the damage is severe like your hair fell off or its orange or its breaking or it feels like hay you should really ask for a complementary re-do or a portion of the service to be reimbursed. If you just don’t like it because it’s shocking or not your personal style then you should seek another stylist.
At the end of the day BRING HEALTHY HAIR..The healthier the hair the more the stylist can do and the better the results. Also keep in mind sometimes it takes more than one booking to get what you want so be patient.
Alterna Caviar Repair:
YAS!!! All you will be saying when you use this. It repairs with Micro Beads and helps Reconstruct the hair Follicle . Filling in gaps and tears while smoothing the Hair Cuticle. I love this for thin hair and greasy hair. Its not heavy and its not going to leave any residue due to the Micro Bead technology.

AG Keratin Repair line:
I like this line due to its ingredients. With this line a little goes a long way due to it being so concentrated. I have used this line myself and really saw results. I find this line to be especially beneficial for thick hair and curly hair.
Milbon Plarmia: This is my best kept secret. I love this company and I love Japan for making something so great despite them having really good hair. Since going really really blonde I have been using this line to bring my hair back to life and let me tell you its working. You can't find this everywhere but its worth the hunt. I love Agucaté aka Avocado. I can eat one a day ..its sort of like the same love I have for Platanos. However from time to time they go bad before I can eat them ...when you live alone this tends to happen more often. This is how I have found my passion on making my own organic beauty products at home. Its a fun way to be creative and beautiful and have a snack at the same damn time.
Avacado and Extra virgin Olive oil...The more oil the more creamy the consistency. Most people say to measure I say pour as much as you think you need. My hair is really dry so I used a-lot. And notice how the avocado is brown, the more brown the more creamy the mask. I like to cut them and let them sit in my fridge for a day so they get dark but not hard. But you can do as you like just make sure its brown and not green.
I then took this lemon and squeezed all the juice into my Olive Oil and Avacado Mixture.
I then Mixed it up in my Nutri bullet. If you don't have one just mix it like cake batter but make sure to make it as creamy as possible. This BTW it taste so good, but it was for my hair so I did not eat any of it. It kind of looked like newborn baby poop if you have ever seen that.(insert emoji)
I tried to apply the mask on dry hair just so it could penetrate better. That was no bueno so I had to wet my hair just a bit and it made it easier to apply. I then put on a shower cap and took a hot shower for about 20-30 minutes. You have two options...you can lightly shampoo and condition right after you shower...or you can sleep with the shower cap and wash out the next day.
If you do this mask once or twice a week for about two months you will see a significant change in your hair.
Question?????? Please comment and thank you for reading ....
Dimensional Color is trending and has been trending. You can call it Ombre, Ecaille, Balayage, highlights....lo que quieras..es la miasma viana.
Why is is so popular?
In the summer or in Miami all year long..the hair turns different shades of lightness depending on your natural color. When Im natural I go red..now that I'm blonde it turns brassy and blondish. Si eres rubia you get more Rubia..... so on.
As 21st century human beings we want to mimic nature or what we think should have been natural (in my case I was supposed to be born blonde but thats another story) entonces..... Natural blondes doesn't come in one shade, they have different shades of blonde hence its MULTI DIMENSIONAL.
Who are good candidates?
Everyone!!! Yes all of you !!! (Oprah Voice)
You can achieve mutual-dimensional color by simply consistently getting your hair done with any blending technique and you don't have to go completely blonde to do it. You can achieve a darker color and / or lighter color each time and over time you will have multi dimensional color. You can also do it all at once but its not as organic as when you do it over time.
Don't be dull, be dimensional! Change is great and if your are getting bored of your hair this is a great way to change it up without changing it up ;).

So you went blonde but you notice your hair is off. Brassy not quite the blonde you walked out of the salon with. Have no fear Purple Shampoo is here . If you notice in the picture above her hair changes after using Purple Shampoo
Purple Shampoo: Will help in eliminating undertones in your blonde such ass brass and orange.
Things to know :
Don’t be Dumb Blonde By Tigi
Thanks to my divas I get put on to Products all the time without even trying them. I was recently put on to this Dumb Blonde Violet toner for blondes or anyone who wants to kill brass or orange. Its heavily pigmented to it works wonders.
How do I use it?
Substitute your regular Shampoo for this one once a week if your hair is really brassy or if not use every other week in between toners. I recommend lathering into the hair for at least 2 minutes but that’s just me.
Y entonces follow up with a deep conditioner as this stuff dries out your hair.
Where can I get it?

Why not Condition while you sleep? Sounds Bizarre but it actually works. Now that the summer is coming or My Miami case of forever summer. This hair is going to need lots of protein and the treatments and I usually resort to like Botox and Keratin are not an option. Salt water will make me blonder but my hair will also need that extra push to be healthy.
