Honesty and consultations
The first step in getting the most out of your consultation, Honesty. It really is the best policy when it comes in receiving a proper assessment. Too many times you come across clients who want a look that is no bueno for them and the lifestyle they live. Numero Uno Consider your relationship with your hair. Do you communicate daily with your hot tools? (Blow dryer, iron, wand ext.) Do you go with the flow? Do you braid and style it? Things to consider when you ask for a particular cut or style that may require commitment in order to maintain a certain look. Numero Dos How often can you come into the salon? How much time can you spend at the salon? Be honest with yourself on why you want this look? Make sure your hair fits your estilo de Vida. Keep in mind what is your current situation and why you want this hairstyle. Sometimes bringing that old thing back is not such a good idea. Numero tres Photos son ideal! Three pictures is usually enough to get the message across and for you and your stylist to discuss about a look. !Be Careful! If the style you want is a particular technique that is not the norm and the stylist is not familiar with it or is not understanding maybe its best you seek someone. Your stylist should be able to see your vision and come up with something that works well for you. Remember the pictures are for inspiration. I want to have JLO hair but it will not happen right always depending on what you currently have. COMMUNICATE so you know what to expect. Numero Cuatro Your Hairstylist is a full time professional. (Please make sure he/she is. Really does make a difference) He/She does hair all day everyday. Respect his/her judgment. If a look is simply not for you, do not take it personal and go with it. Honesty again is the best policy. I know myself, personally I would never do a look I didn’t think look good on a client because that’s my canvas. If my canvas looks good I look Good and I get more canvases. It’s like when I go out with my girls, if her dress or hair or makeup doesn’t look good I say something. If they don’t look good and we are together then that’s a bad look for me and for her and a big no no. A great stylist will give you an alternative. Thank you for reading and stay tamed!

![]() Glossing 101 Client: I want Kim Kardashian Hiar Hairtamer: Do you Gloss? Client: Que? Think of it as a top coat for your hair instead of your nails. Hair becomes dull especially when you are a blonde or brunnette artificially. As you wash your hair, the color can become dull. If you want that I just left the salon and my hair looks like glass look, a gloss might be the answer. Natural Hair looking Dull , then try a clear gloss. A blonde myself thanks to Science, I get bored sometimes and I use Glossing as a way to change my color but still remain blonde. I also use it to create dimension. All my divas get glossed when they come in for a retouch. This is a bi monthly process so don’t expect it to last as long as color. A gloss usually last 6-8 weeks. You have two options 1. Do it yourself by using John Frieda $10.00 http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod620050&categoryId=cat120030 I have personally used it and its safe on everyone. Ecaille - created by Stylist Jo Hansford , technique in which you combine highlights with darker tones to create a "tortoiseshell technique" that creates dimensional transitional color. This trend comes all the way from France and is already spotted not only in the runways but also on stars like Jessica Alba http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jessica_Alba & Blake Lively http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blake_Lively So what makes this look different from the Ombrè ? I think it is more of a sombrè meets lowlights effect. You have bolder more bright pops of color around the face while the rest of the hair is subtler and has darker shades for pops of color and dimension. I love how this look has more dimensions in it than an Ombrè. It’s also customizable for any shade of hair color. It also adds the gloss service to complete the look so its going to be really shiny. Si, even black hair can have Ecaille. If you wish to achieve this look make sure to bring a picture and if the stylist has no idea what you are talking about then pick another one. I have fixed many ombre techniques due to the stylist not seeing the vision. Remember these looks are customized so the stylist must make the look work for you and your skin and hair texture so its not a replicated look but more of a unique just for you kind of style. Check out these links below of articles I found and loved that elaborate more on this look. It is not an injection of any kind.
Every time you blow-dry, iron, color or curl your hair, you are removing nutrients from your hair. As a result, your hair starts to feel brittle and tends to frizz. Using a deep conditioning mask once a week usually does the trick. But what happens when that doesn’t work and you need something stronger? Keratin was the answer until now. Hair Botox · Repairs hair with active ingredients such as caviar oil, B5, E Vitamins and collagen complex · No Formaldehyde · Helps scalp conditions such as dandruff and psoriasis · Shoots nutrients into damaged cortex of hair shaft and restores from inside out · It is impossible for Botox to damage or weaken hair unlike Keratin · Reconstructive treatment with organic microspheres that help minimize hair loss · Cuts blow-drying time in half Why do you need Botox? · Worn out and damaged hair · Split ends · Over-processed hair · Dandruff · Curly hair that is dry · Long hair · Frizzy hair Hair Botox is not a relaxer like Keratin so it will not make your hair straight or flat and it will not alter your curl pattern. This is a treatment to restore your hair to its healthiest state. Sources: www.arabnews.com/news/566901
