xoxo Hairtmer So you woke up and you want a change. Or better yet you went through a life changing experience and are ready to make some changes. Maybe you are just impulsive and enjoy changing it up…whatever the case have no fear the Hairtamer is here!!! Often times I blog about what to do after a color service so I wanted to take the time and blog about what to do before one.
1. Clarifying Shampoo will strip your hair of any color or product you might have. If you plan on going lighter this is a great tool to use to help remove product and build up from the hair. I advise using this in conjunction of a mask or deep condition treatment. 2. Deep Condition. No matter what type of hair you have deep conditioning leading to your color service will help your hair not only with the actual color service but it will also hold color a lot better. 3. Please don’t wash your hair on the day of service. Depending on the color service the color will have contact with your skin so having that extra buildup will help you during the service 4. Be upfront. Your hair history is very important so please share all your hair details during the consultation. That box you used 3 years ago, yes it still there. 5. Research. Look at photos of what you would like your hair to look like. Oftentimes I tell my clients to find a muse. A celebrity or public figure whose hair they admire. The more photos the better understanding our stylist will have of what you expect. 6. What if I hate it? If the damage is severe like your hair fell off or its orange or its breaking or it feels like hay you should really ask for a complementary re-do or a portion of the service to be reimbursed. If you just don’t like it because it’s shocking or not your personal style then you should seek another stylist. At the end of the day BRING HEALTHY HAIR..The healthier the hair the more the stylist can do and the better the results. Also keep in mind sometimes it takes more than one booking to get what you want so be patient. xoxo Hairtamer Alterna Caviar Repair: YAS!!! All you will be saying when you use this. It repairs with Micro Beads and helps Reconstruct the hair Follicle . Filling in gaps and tears while smoothing the Hair Cuticle. I love this for thin hair and greasy hair. I wish I had a go to product for everyone but I'm not a Kardashian so I can't Launch a line right now . =) But I can tell you a few brands that have good key products and Im also going to tell you how to use each one. Please keep in mind in order for this to work you need all the steps. Yes you can mis- match brands but you Must have all the products listed in order for it to be effective. It also takes time, it can take one or two rounds of consistently using the product to see results depending on how damaged your hair is.
AG Keratin Repair line: I like this line due to its ingredients. With this line a little goes a long way due to it being so concentrated. I have used this line myself and really saw results. I find this line to be especially beneficial for thick hair and curly hair. Milbon Plarmia: This is my best kept secret. I love this company and I love Japan for making something so great despite them having really good hair. Since going really really blonde I have been using this line to bring my hair back to life and let me tell you its working. You can't find this everywhere but its worth the hunt. And yes at salon treatments do what these do 10Xs in one visit. I wrote this post incase your on a budget and want to buy things that work.
As always thank you so much for reading and Im always looking for post ideas so don't be shy and ask me. COMMENT BELOW WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS. xoxo Hairtamer I love Agucaté aka Avocado. I can eat one a day ..its sort of like the same love I have for Platanos. However from time to time they go bad before I can eat them ...when you live alone this tends to happen more often. This is how I have found my passion on making my own organic beauty products at home. Its a fun way to be creative and beautiful and have a snack at the same damn time. Step One Avacado and Extra virgin Olive oil...The more oil the more creamy the consistency. Most people say to measure I say pour as much as you think you need. My hair is really dry so I used a-lot. And notice how the avocado is brown, the more brown the more creamy the mask. I like to cut them and let them sit in my fridge for a day so they get dark but not hard. But you can do as you like just make sure its brown and not green. Step Dos I then took this lemon and squeezed all the juice into my Olive Oil and Avacado Mixture. I then Mixed it up in my Nutri bullet. If you don't have one just mix it like cake batter but make sure to make it as creamy as possible. This BTW it taste so good, but it was for my hair so I did not eat any of it. It kind of looked like newborn baby poop if you have ever seen that.(insert emoji) I tried to apply the mask on dry hair just so it could penetrate better. That was no bueno so I had to wet my hair just a bit and it made it easier to apply. I then put on a shower cap and took a hot shower for about 20-30 minutes. You have two options...you can lightly shampoo and condition right after you shower...or you can sleep with the shower cap and wash out the next day.
If you do this mask once or twice a week for about two months you will see a significant change in your hair. Question?????? Please comment and thank you for reading .... xoxo, Hairtamer |
