1.START FROM WITHIN
Healthy hair will never happen if your diet isn’t giving you the vitamins you need. If you’re hair is perpetually dry start drinking more water or add vitamin supplements into your routine in order to kickstart growth, or repair damage. I personally take Biotin and add supplements to my morning smoothie. 2. TURN DOWN THE HEAT AND USE PROTECTION Turn the temperature setting on your hair dryer, flatiron and curling down or skip them altogether if you can. Also, always use a heat-protectant, in addition to warding off damage from your hot tools, protects your hair from external damage like sun and saltwater. 3.TREAT DAMAGE EARLY AND OFTEN Develop a treatment plan and stick to it. People who have beautiful hair and skin have a regime of treatments they swear by and am constantly using them. If you want to prevent or treat heat damage you have to not only try several treatments you also have to stick to them and use them regularly. 4. DETOX YOUR LOCKS Removing Build up from you hair is very neccesary when you use everyday products. Products like DevaCURL build up buster that gets rid of build up without stripping your color. 5. ADD GLOSS TO THE FINAL LOOK Finishing Serums and Sprays are like the top coat on your nails. You need them in order to complete your look. I love Kenra Finishing serum . Not only does it work on all hair types but it smells amazing. 5. If none of the above works ........its time for a trim.. ![]() CHAMPU IF you’re like me you have a dilemma of what shampoo to use. In todays overly saturated market it’s really hard to choose. I have tried my best to narrow it down to a few. Please keep in mind you can always change it up. As a matter of fact change is actually really good when it comes to hair products. I like to switch mine out every time I go through a bottle and try something new. Clarifying Shampoo What does it do? Literally clarifies your hair of everything including color. This is what stylist use right before any treatment or chemical process to make sure they eliminate any traces of color. When should I use it? If your trying to go from brunette to blonde or trying to get rid of a color in your hair and if you just want to remove any and all build up from you hair. Purple Shampoo What does it do? Neutralize the Yellow and Orange pigments in your hair. Helps your blonde stay vibrant and not brassy and go in-between glossing treatments longer. When should I use it? Once a week or when you’re transitioning from dark to light to keep brassy shades away. Reparative or Restorative Shampoo What does it do? Usually this contains some type of protein or keratin or B vitamins in the formula. This repairs the hair to its regular state and helps fortify the hair with the nutrients it needs to maintain its integrity and elasticity. When should I use it? If you are always changing up your hair color you should use this and if you feel that your hair is not growing. If your taking meds or don’t take supplementary vitamins for your diet you should also consider using this. It’s always a good idea to keep it in rotation. Hydrating or Moisturizing Anti Frizz What does it do? Basically made up of some type of oil and so it coats the hair and soothes it down. Perfect for someone with thicker hair or that deals with frizz. When should I use it? If you have thicker hair you should use it when you plan to not wash your hair for a long period of time. Using it too often will create build up and can make hair feel heavy and weighed down. Volume – Oily Hair What does it do? Gets rid of build up but doesn’t dry out your hair like a clarifying shampoo. It’s usually a light formula that literally just washes your hair and has no heavy ingredients that will weigh the hair down. When should I use it? You should use it every time you wash your hair or if you are traveling and washing your hair often it’s a great shampoo to use. In the end you can use all these shampoos or switch them out depending on your hair needs at the moment. A bigger price tag translates to better ingredients and organic means long-term results. As usual ask your stylist for suggestions always. Got Questions? Please comment below for feedback ![]() That moment when you get a glance at your curls and you cringe. Maybe its your scalp flaking or maybe your blonde hair is green. I have a cure for all three. Vinegar Rinse. Its actually really simple to use ...Wash your hair with Shampoo, Rinse, Condition or Deep condition Rinse. Towel Dry your hair.
Dilute or right from the bottle and focus on your scalp. Make hair damp with Vinegar Rise and Comb thru and then style as desired. I prefer to air dry. Repeat once a week or every other week depending on how much product you use. so if you wear curly once a week if not bi- weekly. Benefits

Thank You for reading and please comment if you have any ideas or questions!! xoxo Hairtamer I get this question all the time when someone tells me a stylist promised her highlights on her black hair and no bleach. I say yes ok because pigs can fly......=) Chemically this is impossible if you have black to dark brown hair. If you are a natural light brown to Blonde than yes this is completely possible. Are they the same thing? Yes they are the same thing depending on the formula the stylist is using it can have the same consequences on your hair. Whats the best way to go blonde and not have damage? So when I saw the pigs fly I was like No WAY!! I kid …..So going blonde is expensive and high maintience there is no way around it unless your born blonde and stay that way. You must ..MUST keep that hair conditioned and keep up the color. Trying to go in between appointments for long periods of time is not a way to be a healthy blonde. That’s what will make you a unhealthy blonde.
Thank You for reading I hope you learned something new…as usual if you have a question comment below and I will include it in my next Blog. xoxo, Hairtamer
